Running can be a lonely sport. As I run the local trails, I notice individual runners plugging away on their miles alone. I am blessed to have a small community of runners of whom I share the adventures of training and racing. However, there is a larger community of runners all of the World, many of which run alone. RunJunky.com is an opportunity to unite runners from all over the world into share thoughts, ideas and experiences.

Good Article on Runner's Knee
Last summer I developed a pain in my knee that eventually went away before my Fall marathon. This past Spring Runner's Knee turned it's ugly head and returned. I've been getting by with a knee strap and icing.

Podcast Review: Phedippidations
A little over a year ago I purchased my iPod Nano at a charity auction. Immediately, I began looking for interesting podcasts to listen to while on my long runs. In my search, I stumbled upon Steve Runner's Phedippidations (named after the Greek Sparten Phedippides who ran the very first marathon and then died. http://www.lakepowell.net/marathon.html). Guaranteed Men's Division Winner
On the Cool Runnings web site is a story about a Half Marathon in Maine where all the participants are women with the exception of one man. There is a $10 lottery to enter the race as a the only man in the "One Lucky Guy" category. It's a good read.
